German lawmakers vote to legalize same-sex marriage; Merkel votes no
German lawmakers voted to legalize same-sex marriage Friday, a landmark decision which came just days after Angela Merkel softened her stance on the issue. The issue will now go to the upper house of parlaiment, which is widely expected to pass the measure.
