Harvard scientists shocked the world turning hydrogen into a metal, but then lost the only sample
Back in January, Harvard physicists Isaac Silvera and Ranga Dias said they had solved an 80-year-old problem: They had found a way to turn hydrogen into a reflective, possibly superconducting, metal. Unfortunately, it will be tough to confirm that claim, because the microns-wide sample is truly lost.
